Audiovisual Technician

For one of our client based in Geneva, we are looking for a dedicated Audiovisual technician, in charge of technical support in a sophisticated audiovisual center.

Job description

The successful candidate will also:

– In charge of the technical maintenance of the center and coordinates with the different teams
– Know all equipment and technologies available in the venue
– Operating all equipment and software
– Switching on and test all equipment (PCs, Panel, Screens, Projectors) and perform daily checks to ensure full functionality working as expected. All equipment should always be ready before the session
– Load and display all presentations and content needed for any session and ensure it is properly working
– Break & fixes of equipment (repair bulb, projection/ projectors, sound issues, touch/connection not working, batteries on clickers…)
– Concierge level support
– Document daily processes and issue technical status report
– Provide event support (set-up, session run and post-session)

Your profile

– Hold a technician diploma and you have at least 5 years’ experience in the events industry
– Proactive, customer service oriented and with a positive attitude
– Speak fluent English and French. Italian is an asset
– Manage well stress and you can handle several projects at the same time
– Have a driver’s license

Business Development Executive/Manager

The Business Development Executive/Manager achieves maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling the Dorier’s products and/or related services. He/She will personally contacts and secure new business accounts/customers.

He/She must know and apply knowledge of Dorier’s integrated value proposition, customer and industry insights to co-create value, cross-sell products and services. The Business Development Executive/Manager has to research and develop new client business to support overall business development of Dorier.

Promotes, sells and secures orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach. Demonstrates products and services to existing and potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs.

The Business Development Executive/Manager reports to the Project Director or General Manager.

Main responsabilities

Leadership & Relationship Management

– Elaborate, adapt and implement the Business Development plans
– Identify and proactively acquire new accounts in Singapore and abroad in close cooperation with the Account Manager and Project Director

Project Management
– Research on potential new client business to support overall business development of Dorier
– Develop growth within existing accounts in cooperation with General Manager

Financial Management
– Proposal writing and budget calculation

Your profile

– A minimum of 1 – 3 years’ experience in the marketing, event or audio-visual and communication industry and/or in a sales position
– Diploma or higher education in tourism, marketing, sales, communication or another relevant domain
– A proven track record in attracting and winning new business and increase sales figures
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills, English is a must. Other languages are welcome.

– Excellent and natural negotiation skills
– Strong client service orientation, be entrepreneurial

Project Manager

The Project Manager is responsible to plan, execute, oversee and finalize porjects according to strict deadlines and keeping projects within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the effort of team members including free-lancers, third-party contractors or consultant in order to deliever the projects to a wide riange of clients across many business sectors.

The Project Manager will also define the goals of the projects, the scope of work and cover quality control throughout the project’s life cycle.

Main responsabilities

Project Management

– Direct and manage project development from beginning to end
– Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend budget changes where necessary
– Collaborates with Operations Team on the choice of technical resources allocated to projects
– Responsible for smooth operations
– Responsible for the relationship with the end customer
– Track project milestones and deliverables
– Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stake holders
– Ensures the quality of the service, meeting the quality criteria established by Dorier Asia
– Responsible for staffing of technicians engaged in the operation
– Conduct event debriefings, gather client feedback and market intelligence
– A primary contact for clients

Financial Management
– Proper reconciliation (operational, financial) of all projects handled by their event/project teams
– Manage cash flow, payment terms, cancellation, added value and savings
– Ensuring the profitability of the events and projects organized, managing and verifying all income and expenditure

Your profile

– A minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in audio-visual
– Technical School or Diploma and higher with specialization in audio-visual
– Leadership skills
– Knoweldge of English is essential
– Good written and verbal communication
– Ability to make decisions and to prioritize tasks, and to remain calm under stress
– Problem solving skills
– Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
– Excellent inter-personal skills
– Ability to motivate and coach people
– Experience with management and operating of budgets/financial control

Operations/Technical Manager

The Operations/Technical Manager is responsible for the smooth day to day operations management in the most cost effective, time efficient manner, and with the most profitable results in line with the processes described by your General Manager.

He/She is responsible for the delievery of equipment and logistic requirements (Audio Visual Equipment & Lighting) for an event. He/She has to manage the staffing of the crew for operation. The Operations/Technical Manager ensures quality standards are adhered to.

Main responsabilities

Project Management

– Use of Rental Point Software for equipment and crew management
– Preparation, Transportation, Delievery and Collection of equipment
– Control of inventory with regular updates, control of outgoing and incoming equipment
– Checking, Testing and Maintenance of equipment
– Daily, weekly and monthly operation planning
– Optimization of costs for logistic part of operation (transport, subcontractors, etc…)
– Regular feedback and reporting to the General Manager
– Good communication with the staff
– Conduct site visits within and out of Singapore as requested by Client

Your profile

– A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the audio-visual rental business
– Technically savvy
– Comfortable with numbers
– Proven track record in achieving targets
– Ability to make decisions and to prioritize tasks, and to remain calm under stress
– Problem solving skills
– Strong in networking

– Fluent in English is a must, other languages are welcome

Audio-Visual Technician

Playing an active role in the audio visual events in Geneva, the Dorier Group is a very enterprising and dynamic company, and in full development. We are in the search for a qualified technician to join our operational team.

Main responsabilities

You will be responsible to install, configure, operate audio-visual equipment as part of several events such as conferences, evening ceremony, expositions, product launch events, general meetings, etc.

The successful candidate will also:

– Understand and respond to client’s needs
– Introduce to new users the correct usage of equipment, be responsive when needed
– Maintain equipment, equipment areas, spare parts, and spare part areas. Manage the stock and be able to inform the responsible party when new material is needed
– Be able to recommend the best tools to carry out seamless meetings
– Ensure AV equipment setup and test before events
– Supervise new installations
– Train new users when required

Your profile

– Possession of a diploma in AV technics and first hand current experience in the events industry
– Proactive, customer service oriented and with a positive attitude
– Dynamic, autonomous and rigorous
– Speak fluent English and French
– Manage well stress and you can handle several projects at the same time
– Have a driver’s license
