Technical Production Manager

Geneva, Switzerland / Full time position

We’re looking for an outstanding Technical Production Manager to join our team in Geneva.
A core member of the Design & Production Department, you will be responsible for the design, production and delivery of bespoke audiovisual solutions for large scale events. To be a great fit and consistently deliver high-quality, high impact services to our clients, the ideal candidate must have a strong creative vision, an excellent audiovisual and Project Management understanding and be passionate about live events.

What you’ll do

• Produce high quality technical proposals and deliver events from initial brief through to final reconciliation
• Act as project manager developing, planning and delivering a wide range of events
• Recommend creative technologies and provide guidance as per their technical implementation
• Present Dorier to potential new clients in order to generate new business
• Develop growth within existing accounts and cultivate relationships in order to maintain and increase business opportunities
• Manage budgets, control costs and produce financial reports
• Contract third party suppliers, negotiate prices and ensure quality of delivery
• Manage Health & Safety documentation, financial reports, event briefs & other associated administrative documents for the department
• Keep detailed project files
• Provide leadership and support to the technical and production teams whilst maintaining motivation and enthusiasm in order to deliver successful projects
• On-site event management for large scale projects to ensure plans are followed and to maintain strong partner and client relationships

The profile we’re looking for

• You possess a minimum of 8 years experience in the Meeting & Event industry, with a proven track record of management (including team management) and delivery of large scale projects
• You have a deep understanding of audiovisual solutions (sound, lighting, rigging, set building, broadcasting, multiplex systems, and webcasting) and are always looking out for new ideas about innovative and impactful ways to bring people together through live experiences
• You have a strong expertise in planning, developing and delivering technical solutions in the private sector, internationally
• You demonstrate strong negotiation, organizational, problem-solving and leadership skills. You have an eye for detail and are an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing
• You have the ability to adapt to changing work environments across continents, the flexibility to work adaptable schedules (including days, evenings, and weekends) and are prepared to travel and work abroad
• You must be capable of managing multiple projects in an efficient manner while meeting tight deadlines and be able to remain calm and cool-headed at all times
• You have a result-driven personality with self-confidence and the ability to act decisively (collaborative and design thinking approach required)
• You are customer-oriented, with a tenacious, persuasive and proactive attitude
• You are computer literate and highly competent in use of MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint (additional software as Photoshop and Autocad a plus)
• You speak fluent French and English (German or Spanish is a plus)
• You possess a valid driver’s license

Technicien Audiovisuel polyvalent expérimenté

Genève, Suisse / Contrat à durée indéterminée, plein-temps

Afin de renforcer notre équipe opérationnelle, nous sommes à la recherche d’un Technicien Audiovisuel polyvalent expérimenté. Passionné par l’audiovisuel et doté d’une forte orientation client, vous possédez une expérience professionnelle de minimum 3 ans dans l’univers des congrès et conférences. Responsable de l’installation, de la configuration et de l’exploitation des équipements AV, vous mettrez tout en œuvre pour offrir une prestation technique de la plus haute qualité à nos clients, tout en agissant conformément au code éthique de l’entreprise (confidentialité, intégrité, respect et fiabilité). Dans ce poste, vous évoluerez dans un environnement évènementiel dynamique, au sein d’une équipe jeune et soudée. Des déplacements à l’étranger sont à prévoir.

Responsabilités principales

• Préparer, installer, tester, exploiter et démonter les équipements audiovisuels dans le cadre de divers évènements corporatifs et associatifs (conférences, congrès, assemblées générales, lancements de produit, soirées de gala, cérémonies)
• Assurer la parfaite exécution des évènements, en étroite collaboration avec les autres techniciens et le chef de projet présents sur site
• Maintenir une relation positive avec les clients grâce à une communication efficace
• Sélectionner le matériel à partir de la fiche technique et assister le client final dans l’utilisation du matériel si nécessaire
• Recommander l’équipement approprié selon les évènements et les besoins des clients
• Formation continue sur les nouveaux équipements audiovisuels

Profil recherché

• Vous êtes titulaire d’un BTS audiovisuel ou équivalent et possédez une excellente connaissance des techniques audiovisuelles (sonorisation, projection vidéo, structure, scène, distribution électrique)
• Vous possédez une expérience confirmée de 3 années minimum en qualité de technicien audiovisuel dans l’univers des congrès et conférences
• Vous êtes dynamique, rigoureux, réactif et possédez une excellente présentation. Vous êtes également force de proposition et de solutions techniques
• Vous aimez travailler autant en équipe qu’en toute autonomie ; vous êtes dotés d’une très forte orientation clientèle et possédez une bonne résistance au stress
• Vous êtes flexible et avez la possibilité de travailler en horaires irréguliers (soirée, week-end, jour férié)
• Vous maîtrisez parfaitement le Français et possédez une bonne connaissance de l’Anglais (niveau B2)
• Vous possédez un permis de conduire valide (permis nacelle et certification pour le travail en hauteur un réel atout)

What you’ll do

• Serving clients and managing client relationship
• Proactively developing new client contacts within existing client accounts (diversification)
• Proposing and presenting Dorier’s services and new technology to new prospects and clients to obtain events production
• Understanding client’s brand or event message and incorporating a strategy through Dorier’s services
• Developing concepts around clients’ event message and helping to working with internal team to bring their message to ‘life’
• Creating, preparing and presenting specific proposals according to the needs of clients and their brand messages
• Convert proposals into confirmed business contracts
• Identifying and developing new clients accounts in accordance with the main strategy of Dorier
• Develop growth within existing accounts
• Regularly reporting on sales and business development efforts & results
• Follow-up of business lists

The profile we’re looking for

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Event industry
• A proven track record in attracting and winning new business in a professional service firm
• Experience in Experiential Events or Event Production will be an added advantage
• Strong in networking and communication
